A thistle... I forget what kind, but it's used for the Encyclopedia Britannica.... so it's, like... famous!

This guy visits us rather often and has HUGE CHEEKS. I swear, I've seen him store a full can of peanuts in his mouth WITH a smile. :)

This is a typical drive on the prairies: a straight road...and lots of it!

This is a closeup of a flowerbed by the gazebo (see below).

A view from the front. Note the little dwarves helping us take care of the garden

This used to be a vegetable garden, but this sort of setup put it to much better use in my opinion. (no more raccoons!)

This is an old barn. Hmm... moving along...

This red leaf must be the brunt of all the green leafs' jokes. Maybe he'll grow up to be the leaves' version of Rudolph! (one never knows with these things)

On a rock in the middle of a river (see below). The converging ripples were hypnotising! (I think you had to be there)

A view from the riverside...the back yard of the cottage. With a river that constantly meanders, it's a kick trying to canoe down!

Again, on the rock in the middle of the river... without a starlight filter, I still was able to capture these sparkles!

The aforementioned rock. We fished from there. We lost hooks from there. (well... I did :)

This just looked neat, the dead tree all by his lonesome...WITH a polarising lens!

The joy of any mother! Triplets! You can't even tell them apart!
