This is Winnipeg. There's more to it, but I ran out of "WINNIPEG" banners. :> Speaking of which, the ones with WINNIPEG across the picture are from Tourism Winnipeg. The ones that don't are from me and my trusty Pentax K1000.

Ooooooh. Colours.
A view from the Osborne Bridge, looking onto the Assiniboine River. Down below is a a walk along the river, oddly enough called the Riverwalk. Makes for cool cycling, when we get to race against the boats (especially the ones carrying tourists :D

This is very close to downtown. The Forks, as it's called, is a gathering of eclectic restaurants and shops of a variety of cultures. Excellent food and shopping there. And lots of outdoor eating room!

AHHH. TRAIN!
More Forks, from a trainbridge that was converted to a walking bridge. This is where you dog-owners bring your pooper-scoopers, THANKYOUVERYMUCH.

Can you hold still for this shot?
Leo Mol is a fellow who makes metal statues of living objects (animals, people, etc). A lot of the statues are very nice. He has this thing about naked women statues, however, suggesting (to me), that Leo needs a date.

Arm the torpedoes!
This is Lower Fort Garry. The people here still dress and talk like it was the 19th century, when the area was occupied and was still an actual fort. (they dress and talk from one-two hundred years for tourists; they're not that out of touch ;)

Ooooooh. More Colours.
With the right set of goggles, you, too, can see this. Also, I think drugs are required.

Winter Wonderland
This is the front of a building called the Pavilion in Assinboine Park. It houses a fine restaurant inside and a few million dollars' worth of art. Right behind the Pavilian is a stage for plays. Quite gorgeous, really.

Brrrrr
This was a nice misty morning, nowhere near as cold as it looks, after a fresh snow. It only took a few weeks to get the camera thawed from my hand.

Do your part. Be Powersmart.
Outdoor advertising by our crown-owned hydro company. It looked neat, anyway. :)

Ice. And lots of it!
In the back of the aforementioned Pavilion, this is a duck pond in the summer. It's about 3 feet deep, so if anyone fell through, they might get the sniffles, worse-case scenario.

Don't blink!
I took this with my Pentax and a flash in the middle of a heavy snow. It was fuuuuun driving!

Flat.
This is taken from the 27th floor of the Toronto Dominion building. It's in the winter, so the exhaust you see from the buildings is just heat. It's a city with clean air! Also, this is looking west. Squint a bit and you can see BC.
