Navy Pier, for those who live in Winnipeg, or know it well, is like the Forks, but bigger. There are rides, food, bands of a few varieties and a lot of water (it's on a lake, hence the "Pier").
It wasn't difficult to ask these kids to hold still.
Just outside an office building, we're treated with a lighted fountain.
After waiting for someone to get out of the way of the picture, the fountain started spurting in different patterns, so I waited more, then people got in the way again and just stayed there, so I waited more, then the fountain stopped for a minute, so I waited, then more people came (yes!) and I waited. Then night came and this was the end result of the waiting. That and a crimped toe.
The Prudential Building, one of the larger buildings in the downtown landscape, is a cool sight from any perspective.
When they're not looking nice, these works of art make for great chairs.
My only regret is not being able to get a closer image of this spider. It was huge! Clearly, I did not wish to become its next victim, so I moved on.
