After the bridge, there is a cool path, showing all witting (and some unwitting) tourists some very cool wildlife, such as ponds, very cool streams coming down from the mountain, and an alligator-log. If you really want to see it, email me. (didn't want to flood these pages with too many images...some had to suffer the wrath of editing) At the end of the path, you get to see whence you came. Neat, huh?
I found my way to downtown Vancouver (along Georgia avenue West) and thought this little scene exemplified the look of downtown Van. I had bagels and iced tea here (that was pretty much my dietary staple throughout the trip).
I found three very interesting things about this Art Gallery:
1. It looks nice
2. A lot of people who do not work hang out here
3. IT HAS NO FRONT DOOR! Honest.
I visited a friend's place on Quadra Island, which is found half way up Vancouver Island, and to the east (having to take another ferry to get there). This is a picture of their garden from their deck. On the right hand side is a grapevine... real grapes to be picked! On the left is various vegetation and horticulture; in the middle there is a bathtub. Yes...a bathtub. It is used on occasion (recall, this is the middle of nowhere. :) and enjoyed aptly, I should think!
And now: back to Winnipeg.....the long way. :)
