Pictures of a vacation - 07.17.98 - 07.31.98

This wasn't so much candid as it was SURPRISE!
Checking through some CDs, I thought I'd surprise this camera-shy, Spice Girl. :)

How's the weather down there?
Killer Kilei! I think he was wondering what I was pointing at him. :)

Welcome to my humble abode
The Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens in Lethbridge, Alberta! While the name took me a while to perfect in pronunciation, the sights took little time to appreciate. :)

The summer of my green thumb
This be the innards of the Japanese Gardens. The path of the water looks inviting, yes; but don't try to use it as the path. The locals tend to take umbrage to that in a BAD WAY (read: if you enter these waters, know thee, you should have fast legs :)
Cross your eyes. It's really a 3D image!
This is at the point where two waterfalls meet.....sort of. Anyway, it looked cool. :)

One of these things....is not like the other
An actual Japanese Garden. While it would take me months, maybe years, to construct this place (there's more around the corner!), it takes the gardener 4-5 hours to create this bit of perfection. Wonder if he drinks espresso?

While my vacation was 2 weeks, it felt like 2 months. My days had 20 hours, on average (had anywhere from 3-6 hours of sleep a day, more often 3 or 4 than otherwise) and felt no fatigue...except that near fall off the mountain, but that was just part of the adventure.

Hope you enjoyed the images. If you haven't been out west, go there. You'll never regret it.

And now: back to Winnipeg...a constant 12 hour drive! My brain hurt afterwards. But I still want to go back for more. :)
